Mother's Day Tea at the Dionne Quints Museum
A Smashing Success!
For Mothers Day, the Dionne Quints Museum held a wonderful tea party! Kids attending crafted tea party hats and tiaras while Moms sipped tea and helped the youngsters with their creations.
A choice lunch was selected from Good Treats Healthy Eats who outdid themselves preparing great "English Tea" inspired wraps and sandwiches ~ the many different kinds of tea were graciously supplied by The Tea Garden. Favorites were of course the Strawberry and Blueberry teas as well as Earl Grey Creme.
The Dionne Quints Museum sends a special thank you to Travis of Good Treats Healthy Eats, and Karl and Mallory at the Tea Garden. Check our Business Directory to visit each of these great establishments and try some of the good things we sampled today! Lydia Peever
75th Birthday Celebrations at the Dionne Quint Museum
Happy Birthday to Annette and Cecile!
Tremendous thanks to the East Ferris Old Tyme Fiddle Club and The Swiss Pastry Chef for adding to a perfect day!
Museum Director Amy Bennett began the public address with notes of thanks. Other attendees included Chamber of Commerce President Sean Lawlor, Callander Mayor Hector Lavigne and North Bay Mayor Vic Fedeli who cut the first slice of birthday cake.
As children flew their crafted paper bag kites and others enjoyed cake under the trees, the East Ferris Old Tyme Fiddlers Club played some classic reels making for a magical scene.
